Sign up here for emergency alerts during the Girls on the Run Southern Tier 5K
Girls on the Run of the Southern Tier has arranged with Hyper-Reach – a national provider of emergency alert services – to provide free safety alerts before, during and after the Girls on the Run Southern Tier 5K event, June 8 at Campbell-Savona Junior/Senior High School in Campbell, NY.
By signing up with this form, Girls on the Run of the Southern Tier will be able to quickly send you emergency information in case there’s a need. Examples of alerts include traffic problems that could keep you from getting to the race on time, severe weather, a lost child, or any other situation that risks the safety of participants or spectators.
It’s unlikely that the system will actually be used, but it’s a simple way to make sure you’re informed in case of an emergency. If it is used, most alerts will be text messages to your mobile phone. There is no cost for this service, other than normal text messaging charges and your information will not be used for any purpose other than emergency alerts.
We’ll also set you up for alerts in your community!
As an added bonus, we’ll also optionally sign you up for emergency alerts in your community. Both Steuben and Chemung counties (as well as many other NY counties) provide emergency alerts to their residents. We’ll take the information you provide and transfer it to the emergency alert provider for your community, based on your home address. If you prefer to get only alerts during the 5K, just provide your mobile phone number and leave the rest of the information blank.

It takes only a few minutes to provide the information we need. And thanks.
